GeForce Hot Fix Driver 364.96 Adds DOOM Beta Support; NVIDIA Working On Improving Quantum Break Performance
NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Hot Fix Driver 364.96 which adds support for the DOOM beta. Additionally, the commuter is said to take fixed FPS drops across some GPU's following an extended period or waking up from sleep.
The patch notes for the 364.96 hot fix driver are almost non-real, but according to NVIDIA, the patch adds back up for the DOOM beta. Additionally, NVIDIA's customer care states that the commuter includes a fix for FPS drops across several games, including Nighttime Souls 3 and The Sectionalization. Judging from reactions on the NVIDIA forums though, results for the hot set are mixed, and some players seem to be reporting crashes within Dark Souls 3. Furthermore, even if the hot set improves the frame charge per unit for some games, this functioning gain seems to be minimal.
NVIDIA'south customer care also responded to a question regarding the performance of the recently released Breakthrough Interruption for Windows 10. NVIDIA is working with Remedy on improving the performance of Breakthrough Break, but at the moment of writing, NVIDIA has no additional info to report.
Equally reported some days ago, Breakthrough Break is suffering from some serious performance bug on Windows 10, including stuttering frame-rates, frame-pacing, and rendering performance problems. A small part of issues have been included down below:
Stuttering Frame-Rate / Frame Pacing
In that location was a major rounding error introduced into our refresh rate predictions on shipping. A solution to this effect is already being worked on; nosotros wait information technology to exist resolved in a Quantum Break Championship Update launching in the near future.Windows 10 Performance Bug
Remedy is looking into how to ameliorate the overall performance of the game. Part of that is working closely with AMD and NVIDIA to address issues and improve the gameplay experience.Sometimes, later a longer play session, the game tin cease up to a land where the video retentiveness becomes fragmented, and an important asset gets moved to system memory, which slows the rendering functioning significantly. This problem is very rare and Remedy volition keep to investigate and improve the video memory behavior in future updates.
If you lot feel this issue, exiting and restarting Quantum Suspension will resolve this result for now. This is one way to identify if you have encountered this issue or if it's another potential problem.
Crashing on Launch
We have been able to repro at least one reason for a rare crash on launch– with some SIMD instructions that require SSE4.1. We are working on fixing that in a futurity title update, and will fix any other issues we detect as they are reported.Prototype Quality
Nosotros are working on giving users more command to turn on and off features like film grain. We dear the artistic pick for our game, just nosotros also want to give PC gamers more option and this will come in a future update.Does Quantum Suspension support SLI or other multi-GPU solutions?
Quantum Suspension on Windows 10 unfortunately doesn't support DirectX12 multi-GPU rendering. Due to the engine architecture, the work needed to support multiple GPUs would have been pregnant and out of scope for Remedy for Quantum Break.
Nosotros'll continue you updated when we learn more than nigh Quantum Break performance improvements.
